Beginning September 4, 2018, Louisiana Law requires that any person, regardless of age, has to apply for a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) in person at the Office of Motor Vehicles prior to registering for a driver's education course.
Teen Program 15 -17 Year Olds
38 hour program state requirement 30 hours in class and 8 hours behind the wheel.
Adult Program 18 and over
14 hour class that consist of 6 hours of Classroom Instruction and 8 hours of Behind the Wheel training.
